An adult bedbug is the size of a pinky nail and is a dark red color. Most people say adult bedbugs look like an apple seed. The nymphs which are babies and the eggs are very hard to see. They are very small and translucent color or milky white which is why the most homeowners don’t notice the issue until its too late. Bedbugs are great and hiding and reproducing. It is said that and adult bedbug can lay up to 5 eggs a day and 500 eggs in a lifetime. Which as you can see, you might not notice them at first but within a month you can have a bad infestation.They are often are known as hitchhikers because they typically lay eggs close to where ever there will be a host which means human.You can find them when traveling in areas of a plane, buses, luggage and also hotels. When traveling it is a great idea to search for bedbugs in your hotel room before settling down. Most common areas to find them is by your bed. Look at the seams of the sheets, in the cracks and crevices of the mattress and the head board. Also look at the night stands near the bed and when searching look at all the corners and cracks of the nightstand. A lot of times you can find the bedbug harborage areas underneath the night stands. Look for the appleseed size adult bedbugs, the milky white color eggs, nymphs, skins and bedbug fecal matter which is made up of human blood. You will see small dark spots on the sheets which the secrete. Once you have searched your hotel room for bedbugs keep you luggage away from the bed. If you have bedbugs don’t wait for an infestation to happen.
